EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME EDITION

community events In February 2006 CR Chicks donated dinner for the construction workers and volunteers who were building the house for the TV show on ABC. The makeover was of a house in Riviera Beach Florida. The show aired in April 06.

SUNFEST

On Thursday May 4th CR Chicks again supplied food for the Hospitality Tent at Sunfest in West Palm Beach. This was our 7th year in participating in Sunfest Hospitality. Sunfest is an outdoor music and art fest held annually in downtown West Palm Beach to support our local charities and scholarships. All the proceeds we receive from Sunfest will go towards the CR Chicks scholarships fund which is awarded annually through the Kiwanis Scholarship Fund.

CHICKEN FOR THE POOR AND HOMELESS

All of the chicken leftover each day at all of the CR Chicks is donated to Local Churches and distributed to the needy. Every morning a church representative picks up the left over cooked chicken at each location resulting in over eleven tons of cooked chicken being given to the poor and homeless last year. Jay's Ministry, Pentecostal Church of Christ, Take it to the streets Ministry, and Christ Fellowship Outreach Ministry are a few of the Churches involved in our give away program.

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

This was the 9th year we have prepared the pre-game meal for the St. Louis Cardinals players during their Spring Training Season at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida. We also supply breakfast and lunch for the Cardinals Fantasy Camp held annually in late January.

TEACHER GIFT CERTIFICATES

This was our 9th year of giving away $5 off gift certificates to local teachers during teacher appreciation week. Each of our locations selects several Middle and High schools in their area to support with the give away. This year we gave out over 5000 gift certificates in appreciation to the teachers of Palm Beach and Martin County.
